2019 APEC Workshop on International Sports Events and Local Economic Development

Combined with sports and traveling, sports tourism is said to bring beneficial impacts on local economy and attention to the city. Ascending to its place of being the most desired, sports tourism is actively applied and strived by cities around the world. Every city wishes to be the host of a sports event; it’s a nudge a city can use to market itself to the world. 2019 APEC Workshop on International Sports Events and Local Economic Development was held in The Peninsula Manila on June 3rd. The workshop was organized into five keynote speeches, one discussing session, and one sports startup demo session focusing on the best policies and practices sharing to establish a more systematic process for future sports events.
